Affixa is a slick application that will allow you to manage attachments in Gmail with the maximum ease possible.
Your first step using Affixa is to configure the application, adding your email account and tweaking a few other configuration options. The (very reasonably priced) subscriber's version of Affixa supports multiple accounts - the free version only supports one.
Affixa then opens a small window on the desktop. This is where you gather and organize the files to be attached. You can add by pasting or dragging and dropping, and you can save "baskets" of files for later use. When you have all the files assembled, hit Email and the files will be automatically attached to a new email in Gmail.
As most free internet mail services, including Gmail, have a file size limit, Affixa integrates with drop.io, while the subscriber version also has a built-in zip function. Even without this feature, the free version of Affixa is a great application and absolutely perfect for anyone who needs to send frequent or complex attachments.
If you send attachments via Gmail/Yahoo! on a regular basis, take a look at Affixa as soon as possible.
- Resolved login difficulties which caused gAttach! to crash on some systems.
